GRANTS TO SUPPORT VULNERABLE TEMPORARY VISA HOLDERS AND MIGRANTS
NSW Treasury has announced as part of the NSW Government’s stimulus package in response to COVID-19. The stimulus package of $4 million emergency relief grants program. The program will support vulnerable temporary visa holders and migrant settled across metropolitan and regional NSW.
- $2 million for Emergency financial relief to vulnerable temporary visa holders for food, medical, transport, telecommunications and essential housing.
- $2 million Grants of $5,000 to $80,000 for specialist migrant and settlement NGOs for culturally specific caseworkers, culturally specific community support workers, outreach transport costs to disconnected/isolated communities, and interpreting and translating.
